Another test and more note-comparing…

Back in August I wrote about a book I was reading at the time... The Happiness Advantage

That book included a link to a 240 question test which measured your top 5 character strengths.

Today, I'm reading "Positive Intelligence - Why only 20% of Teams and Individuals Achieve Their True Potential, And How You Can Achieve Yours. "

The premise is simple...  "Your mind is your best friend, but it is also your worst enemy."

"Positive intelligence measures the relative strength of these two modes of your mind."

"To illustrate, when your mind tells you that you should do your very best to prepare for tomorrow's important meeting, it is acting as your friend."

"When it wakes you up at 3 AM anxious about the meeting and racing in a loop for the hundredth time about the many consequences of failing, it is acting as your enemy; it is simply generating anxiety and suffering without any redeeming value. No friend would do that."

He names your two "minds", the SAGE and the SABOTEUR.

This book includes two tests or assessments.  The first test measures which of the 10 mental saboteurs is causing you the most trouble. (for me it's hyper-achiever and avoider)

The second test measures your current PQ Score.  PQ is short for Positive Intelligence Quotient.  My score was a 27 and that's a great score if the max was 30 but the goal is 100!

The author says 75 out of 100 would be great so I have some work to do.

Now I have to stop avoiding reading the book and get into it.  You can take the two assessments yourself at:

You do have to give your name and email but there is nothing to buy there.

Feel free to share your results below.

Enjoy!
