Kids won’t listen? Your computer will.

If you have a Windows 7 or Vista computer, keep reading.

If not, you are free to click on another article to the right. (sorry
about that)

I got this info from Paul Myers at TalkBiz.com and wrote this
entire post with my voice.

There is Voice Recognition Software on your computer!

To find it in Vista, go to the Start Menu, Accessories, Ease
of Access, and click on Windows Voice Recognition.

I don't know the procedure for Windows 7 but I'm
sure it's similar.

Not only can you "type" with your voice, you can also
make the computer do just about anything except rollover.

They have a very good tutorial that will take you about 15
minutes to go through.

It will take you some time to get used to all the commands
but if you suffer from typing related pain or you would prefer
to sit up straight in your chair and make your computer do your
bidding, this will be perfect for you.

So far for me, it works very well. I particularly like being
able to say "Open [program name] and it does! So much faster
than Start-All Programs etc.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

P.S. You do need to have a microphone attached to your computer.

While I’m not using it (yet), on Windows 7, to find the speech recognition area, go to the Control Panel and click on”Ease of Access.”

Thanks a lot. Being disabled, this info has given me access to features I didn’t even know were available.
